Workshop Information

Penny Baird and James Salomons are pleased to announce their first workshop together as teachers.
This workshop is the perfect introduction to Zero Balancing. It teaches you the essence of Zero Balancing: the Core Protocol, which you will be able to perform in a basic form at the end of this workshop.
Penny has been practising Zero Balancing since 2010 and is currently on the 2024 Teacher Training programme. She is also qualified in Kinesiology and Soul Midwifery, has four grown up children, and lives near Dunkeld. You can read more about James here.
You will be supported by this experienced team as you develop your touch skills and integral understanding. A Zero Balancing workshop is an experience of learning through the discovery and embodiment of Zero Balancing principles.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- The practice, principles and theory of Zero Balancing
- How to touch body energy and anatomical structure simultaneously
- How to develop conscious touch
- The structural/energetic anatomy of the skeleton and joints
- The practical methods of Zero Balancing – fulcrums & vectors
- To give and receive constructive feedback as you share your learning
- A protocol for giving a core Zero Balancing session
Participants will receive a Core Zero Balancing Study Guide to refer to.
Snacks and drinks will be provided, however you will need to source your own lunch. There are plenty of cafés and eateries within walking distance of the venue so that shouldn't prove a challenge! The Youth Hostel also has its own canteen and bar area.
The venue is a 15 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station, a 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Bus Station, a 3 minute walk from the nearest tram stop (McDonald Road) and a 1 minute walk from the nearest bus stop (Elm Row). If you're coming from the airport then the tram is by far the best way to get to the venue.
If you are in need of accommodation, then you may wish to check room availability at the Youth Hostel itself. Failing that, Edinburgh is full of hotels, bed and breakfasts and Airbnbs.
