Workshop Information
I am honoured to be organising the first ever Zero Balancing workshop to be held in Edinburgh. The workshop will be taught by Alan Hext, who has over 40 years' experience teaching Zero Balancing internationally. Alan is author of a book on Zero Balancing, entitled Structural Energetics in Zero Balancing Bodywork, published by Singing Dragon, 2020. Alan is an excellent practitioner and teacher of both Zero Balancing and Traditional Acupuncture. He is my mentor for the EU ZB Teacher Training programme.
Alan will be assisted by four certified Zero Balancers who are training to become teachers, so you will be supported by an experienced team as you develop your touch skills and integral understanding. A Zero Balancing workshop is an experience of learning through the discovery and embodiment of Zero Balancing principles.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- The practice, principles and theory of Zero Balancing
- How to touch body energy and anatomical structure simultaneously
- Developing conscious touch working with ZB bodywork
- The structural/energetic anatomy of the skeleton and joints
- The practical methods of Zero Balancing – fulcrums & vectors
- To give and receive contructive feedback as you share your learning
- A protocol for giving a core Zero Balancing session
Participants will receive a Core Zero Balancing Handbook to refer to.
This workshop is the perfect introduction to Zero Balancing, and for those who have already done their first Core ZB I workshop.
Snacks and drinks will be provided, however you will need to source your own lunch. There are plenty of cafés and eateries within walking distance of the venue.
The venue is a 15 minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station, a 10 minute walk from Edinburgh Bus Station, a 5 minute walk from the nearest tram stop (Picardy Place) and a 2 minute walk from the nearest bus stop (Elm Row). If you're coming from the airport then the tram is by far the best way to get to the venue.
